Gregory S. Raines | CEO, TAG Advisors

Gregory is the CEO of TAG Advisors. He is an experienced executive with over 30 years of financial services industry success. He is responsible for all of the securities operations related to the firm. Gregory also leads the organization’s recruiting efforts by attracting, engaging and successfully on-boarding new reps into the firm. Under his leadership, TAG Advisors has grown to over $36 million in GDC. The branch has over 220 registered reps managing over $4.5 billion in assets.

Previously, Gregory served as the National Director of Field Development for one of the nation’s top broker dealer groups. Prior to this position, he founded and led two highly profitable financial services firms. He built a branch for one of the country’s largest broker dealer organizations that became #1 out of 80 branches nationally. He managed 70 advisors in four offices that produced $660 million in assets under management and generated $6.4 million in GDC and life insurance premium annually while achieving the designation of a LifeMark Partner, responsible for over $1 million of life insurance premium annually.

Jason Stone, AIF® | President, TAG Advisors

Jason is the President of TAG Advisors. As the lead OSJ/Principal, Jason works directly with the firm’s other OSJs to provide guidance on risk management, compliance, and supervision in relation to the independent advisors affiliated with the firm. In his role, he works closely with the CEO and the leadership team to monitor and provide assessments on all aspects of risk that could adversely impact the organization. Jason also works directly with the broker dealer to make sure that all of TAG Advisors’ OSJs and advisors have a more positive, personalized, and coordinated rep experience. In addition to Jason’s interface with the leadership team, OSJs, and broker dealer, he also directly supervises over 60 reps. As part of the team that helped move TAG Advisors to Cambridge, Jason has seen the branch grow significantly since its affiliation with the new broker dealer.

Andrew J. Evans | Executive Vice President, TAG Advisors

 Andrew is the Executive Vice President for TAG Advisors and a Securities Principal of Cambridge Investment Research. Andrew’s primary roles within the firm include both field development and supervision. He works directly with the organization’s advisor relationships to help them grow their practices and to maintain functional and supervisory oversight in the exercise of their daily responsibilities. Andrew is also directly involved with helping producers transition to TAG Advisors and to ensure that their on-boarding is successful.

Prior to TAG Advisors and Cambridge, he served as District Manager OSJ for Waddell & Reed, and he also served as a financial advisor at Raymond James & Associates, Merrill Lynch, and Charles Schwab & Co. Andrew received his Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has also completed the Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Duquesne University. Andrew received a BFA in Communications from Ohio Northern University. Andrew has served as President of NAIFA Pittsburgh and as a board member for the Center for Theater Arts and Expressions in Harmony.

Terry Treiber | Chief Investment Strategist, TAG Advisors

 Terry is the Chief Investment Strategist for TAG Advisors and a Securities Principal of Cambridge Investment Research. Terry focuses on recruiting, supervision, and business development for advisors throughout the Southeast. He has successfully transitioned over 20 advisors to join Cambridge from both wirehouse and independent platforms. He has a solid understanding of fee-based and transaction-oriented business and the unique services and custodians provided by Cambridge Investment Research for the benefit of its advisors.

Before joining TAG Advisors, Terry was the Complex Business Development Manager at Morgan Stanley for six years providing services to over 150 advisors generating revenue of over $80 million. He also served as Branch Manager and Planning Specialist at Merrill Lynch. He obtained the Certified Financial Planning designation in 1997 as well as the Asset Allocation Specialist designation. He has participated in multiple investment policy committees and hired over 60 advisors. He is an avid golfer and a graduate of the University of Michigan.

April Booth | Chief Operating Officer, TAG Advisors

 April Booth is the Chief Operating Officer for TAG Advisors and a Securities Principal of Cambridge Investment Research. April is responsible for the daily operations of the firm, including strategic planning for new initiatives, problem resolution, and procedural implementation. April practices a hands-on approach to transition, guiding advisors through the process of joining TAG Advisors, beginning with Licensing and Registration and continuing throughout the entire on-boarding experience. April focuses on training and procedures to ensure advisors have the best possible transition.

Prior to joining TAG Advisors, April ran a substantial OSJ Branch within Cambridge as well as a successful personal practice. She also spent several years working in back office Compliance and Operations for a regional Broker Dealer, and utilizes this experience in her role as liaison between TAG Advisors and Cambridge to strengthen operational efficiency and improve the overall experience of the TAG advisor.

AJ Clark | Senior Operations Specialist, TAG Advisors

AJ is a Senior Operations Specialist for TAG Advisors and has been with the firm since 2014. AJ’s responsibilities include assisting the organization’s advisors in migrating their books of business, facilitating the implementation of Cambridge new business procedures for the advisors, and acting as a liaison between Cambridge’s operational teams and the firm’s advisors. Additionally, AJ assists the management team in tracking advisor transition and ongoing success. AJ also provides ad hoc investment reporting to advisors and provides additional reporting support to the CEO.

AJ is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. He was also a member of the UNCG Men’s Division I tennis team. AJ has previously held positions at AXA Advisors and Research Presentation Strategies. AJ currently hold his FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 as well as his life and health insurance licenses.

Dave Scheetz | Director - Retirement Plans, TAG Advisors

Dave serves as the Director, Retirement Plans for TAG Advisors. In this role, Dave is responsible for helping our advisors build their qualified retirement business. He uses his unique knowledge and experience in the retirement plan arena to work closely with Greg Raines, CEO and the rest of the leadership team to grow TAG Advisors presence in this specific line of business. Dave is also responsible for recruiting new advisors with retirement plan practices and help them make a smooth transition to TAG Advisors. Dave will help our advisors navigate the complicated world of retirement plans. Dave and our team will help advisors with obtaining quotes from providers, plan design, provider searches, plan benchmarkings, fiduciary investment reviews, preparing investment policy statements, providing fiduciary support as well as overall sales and marketing strategies.

Dave joined TAG Advisors in early 2018 after being in the retirement business for over 30 years. Dave brings vast experience from his years managing a third party administration firm, managing an employee benefit practice within a regional bank, and almost 20 years of retirement plan sales and consulting experience. Dave has worked with some of the premier retirement plan companies in the business including Merrill Lynch, Prudential and Putnam.

Dave currently holds his Accredited Investment Fiduciary license, FINRA Series 6, 63, 65, 7 as well as his life and health insurance.
